Smelling Fabulous

To me it gets quite personal when it comes to perfumes and fragrances. I used to be a 1-perfume kinda person but along the way, I couldn't resist the other pretty bottles lining up at the perfume stores. I typically hand picked each fragrance and as always my favorite place to shop is in the duty free shops. I collected these in the past year or so and I currently rotate them every so often in my vanity shelf.
For day-time I prefer something rather light and fresh. These three below are my favorites at the moment. L-R: Marc Jacobs Lola, Miss Dior Eau Fraiche and The Body Shop White Musk Libertine
And for evenings, I like something with a deeper and sensual scent. These type of scents usually last very long throughout the evening. L-R: Marc Jacobs Daisy, Jean-Paul Gaultier Classique and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.
What's your current perfume favorites?

On a heavier note, I hope everyone is safe and dry from the major floods that happened yesterday in Jakarta. It's very devastating to see the victims lost their houses and everything they have due to the flooding. Let's take a moment to pray for Jakarta.

Review: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine

Hello there, hope everyone is enjoying the second week of 2013! I wanted to share this new lipstick that joined my vanity recently. The lipstick is from Chanel and it's called Rouge Coco Shine in color # 61 Bonheur. The line carries 21 shades in total and they are currently selling for $32 each.
From what I know, this line of Rouge Coco Shine is the sheer version of Rouge Coco that came out previously over summer 2010. The texture is very smooth when I applied it to my lip; it almost turned into liquid as soon as the bullet touched my lip. It is also very hydrating (very good considering my dry-sensitive lip), however the staying power does not stay long. This is usually the problem with "hydrating" lipsticks. They are moisturizing hence very easy to take off.
As expected from Chanel's beauty products, the packaging is very classy. Coming from Chanel's logo on the top side and gold reams in the middle, the overall look is very glamorous.
I really like this shade of color specifically because it can light up my whole face with the basic natural make-up look during the day. With the beautiful packaging like this, I wouldn't mind re-applying the lipstick throughout the day.
What is your favorite shade from Rouge Coco Shine?

First of all, I want to wish everyone a happy new year. May this new year of 2013 be a better year for all of us. On any given year, the last week of December is usually a busy week for me. From holiday parties, Christmas, my birthday and new years all back to back on the same week. Recovery mode is much needed after this.
Today I wanted to share my birthday dinner with the family this past weekend at the Goods Diner in SCBD area. I had such a great time with the whole family the entire night was full of love and laughter.
