Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint

Photobucket
I am very picky when it comes to lip products because I have a dry sensitive lip.  But this Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint is probably by far the most moisturizing lip product I ever tried before.  I bought these babies in a set a while ago but they are also sold individually in Sephora or any other beauty stores that carry Tarte products.

What I wanted to show you on this review are the how packaging looks like and how does the color pigment applied to the skin.

I am not too thrilled with the packaging since it is more towards the bulkier side rather than not. I usually keep this lip tint in my vanity drawers and use it when I am getting ready at home – I do not carry this around with my in my purse since it does takes a lot of space.

Also, the cap is not as sturdy as I hoped for. Out of the five bullets, the three of them have cracks on the side already. Not something you would expect coming from a $24 USD a pop.

In terms of colors, they have a good variation of color within the LipSurgence product line. For this set specifically, Perky is my favorite color as it is a light pink with cooler undertone. It’s a bit sheer but enough to see the color comes through the lip. I always get complement whenever I use this one. I used the others sparingly as it has glitters – something more suitable on a more fancier occasions. But then again, it is the “holiday set” so I should have expected this.

Taken from Sephora website, here is their official description of the product:

The old meets the new with the infusion of our high-performance natural LipSurgence™ technology which is clinically proven to increase moisture content by an astonishing 6000%. This proprietary blend effectively increases skin's water content for a plumped up appearance leaving lips defined, smoothed, and hydrated. The result is naturally fuller, healthier lips without any irritation or stinging. Like the cheek stains, each shade of these natural lip stains will leave a natural hint of tint that will last throughout the day. These shades are great to wear alone or pair with your favorite Tarte lip gloss. This product is free from animal testing, formaldehyde donors, oil, talc, MEA/ DEA/ TEA.

I am not very technical, but in general I agreed that the product is very moisturizing and never interfere with my dry sensitive lip. If you can get passed the packaging issue, go a head and pick up one to try.

Beautiful Salzburg

We shall not forget the beautiful Salzburg from the classic movie “Sound of Music” (SOM). The epic scenery and vivid green grass are the few reason people come and visit the city. Everywhere you turn, there is this picture perfect view ready to be framed on the wall. We splurged on a 4-hour full tour of Sound of Music where we took a bus to the outskirt of Salzburg to witness the original location where the Sound of Music was shot. In this tour, we also got to learn how to yodel. Everyone in the bus was yodeling with the SOM soundtrack blasting off the speaker. It's quite an experience. For what is worth, we enjoyed our short stay in the beautiful Salzburg.

Hiatus

It's been a while since I blogged the last time. I have been just enjoying life in general, taking more time out spending with love ones and taking care many things I've been putting it off for a while.
I still do update my Instagram and Twitter almost on a daily basis - I'm pretty obsessed with Instagram  these days, but who doesn't? Continuing the same effort, on this post, I'd like to officially say that I'm taking a hiatus from blogging.

This blog means a lot to me and has been a major part of my life in the past several years, but at this point in time my life is changing and I don't know where this blog fits in as of now. I also want to take sometime off to think and figure out where this blog is going and what I want this to be.

The blog has always been a happy place for me - an outlet where I can share what I want to share, my interest, my experiences, and my thoughts. This is definitely not good bye, more like a see you later, hopefully sooner than later.

Ocean City Fun!

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely week. The temperature had calmed down and I'm enjoying the cooler nights in the past days. It was another hot weekend 2 weeks ago and finally my friends and I took a chance and drove off to the Ocean City beach to cool things down. It was a sudden trip and it was a good one too!

On the upside, I got the nice tan I wanted, the downside, there's no downside. Also you can't beat having a those natural beach-y curls after soaking your hair into the salt water. We had tons of seafood and drinks, but I think I shed all the calories out by walking 3 miles+ on the boardwalk in the evening. It's a wash!
