I got invited to a grand opening of a friend's restaurant recently in the Wilmington area called Asnan Sushi Bar & Asian Cuisine. Despite the nasty weather we came to check out the new place to support the Indonesian comm. As you can see it has a great modern feel to the interior decor. The restaurant had some major sushi menu and a list of Indonesian dishes. The owner is Indonesian so when we get into the restaurant we pretty much passed on the sushi menu and get down to business - Indonesian food. But when we had the menu there were only very few Indonesian dishes in the menu which was surprising, so we ordered 3 things from the menu - Grilled Chicken, Spicy Chicken for entrées and Chicken Satay for appetizer. After the appetizer came we came to realize that they just updated/wrote the white board with "Today's Special" with more Indonesian dishes.. DOH! It'll be nice to know that the Indonesian dishes aren't listed in the main menu! But anyways, the entrées came and it was okay. I like the appetizer better though. All in all, it was an okay experience, I'm not too crazy about the food but the ambient and the decor is an A+
