Mie Goreng

I can't never get tired of the Indomie Mie Goreng.. it's so tasty and so good with fried egg, beef meatballs and sausages. But what do you do when those Indomie package is not around ? I guess I had to make my own Mie Goreng. Not so complicated as I thought.

What you need


  • 1 pack of regular dried yellow egg noodle
  • 1/4 lbs of beef - chopped to small and thin pieces
  • 1/2 onion - chopped finely
  • 2 garlic - chopped finely
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 yellow pepper - chopped thin and long
  • handful of green peas
  • 2 tbsp of sweet soy sauce
  • 2 cube of Maggie beef stock mixed in 1/2 cup of hot water


What you do


  • Boil noodles for 1-2 minutes and then drain
  • Heat a large wok with oil then stir fry the onion and garlic until slightly brown
  • Add beef to the wok and keep stirring for 2 minutes
  • Add beef stock to the wok and let it cook until the water is half way gone
  • Add soy sauce, yellow pepper and green peas and keep stirring to boil
  • Add noodles and sitr everything together - mix well until there's no more liquid
  • Remove from heat  and ready to serve
